Great Make-up starts with great skin
Ensuring you have a regular cleansing routine and you are giving your skin some regular treatments at home is vital in achieving that all important glow for that all important day. Regular exfoliation followed by the correct facial mask will get rid of any dullness shedding off those dead skin cells and revealing the bright skin underneath. Using the correct treatment mask will help dehydrated skin look fuller and plumper, oily skin help tighten pores and prevent further break outs, and dry or sensitive skin, condition and sooth. There is a treatment mask out there for everyone and with correct regular use you will see a huge difference in the condition of your skin. With the knowledge I have I can advise you on the specific products which would be correct for your particular skin. I have had wonderful feedback from clients that have switched their products and have gone with my recommendations and have seen dramatic results.
A side from the home treatments, regular visits to a therapist for facials are also beneficial for certain skin types.
Fake a tan
This is a great way to wake up the skin tone especially if it is looking a little grey.
If you already have an olive skin tone a light/medium spray tan will be sufficient for your skin. Remember, you will be wearing white or ivory and people always wear white to show off a tan so don't over do it.
People of a lighter skin tone are definitely better suited with just a very light tan. This is great in the summer months and perfect to give the edge of off a paler skin (especially when wearing a white or ivory dress). If you are lucky enough to have the beautiful peaches and cream skin tone of someone like Dita Von Teese, then there is no need to tan and you should let that beautiful skin show. A little light blush and a few sweeps of a very light bronzer on the face is all you need.
I would definitely advise trying the salon out first where you are having your spray tan. In my experience it's the best way of getting that all over even tan without the mess and hassle of having to do it yourself at home and risk any patchy bits or even stained hands. Please stay clear of sun beds, they are really not good for your skin or your health!
Eye-brows
Well groomed eyebrows are absolutely vital. Firstly for framing the face and opening up the eye area (if they're on the heavy/thick side) and giving that neat all important polished look. When plucking thick heavy eyebrows it really is amazing the dramatic difference in the size of your eye area. It can almost create a surgically enhanced eye-lift effect.
Over plucked eyebrows are a no no. A lot of people over pluck their eyebrows so it's good to fill in with eyebrow powder temporarily until they grow back. This will softly and subtley fill in any gaps and extend them to the correct place they should be. If you hold a pencil vertical at the side of your nose your eyebrow it should start there and end where the pencil crosses if you turn it from the corner of your nose to the outer corner of your eye. Try it at home and she if you have the correct length!
Tricks of the trade
If you have had a sleepless night, using eye-drops is a great way of getting rid of tired red looking eye's. Instant teeth whitener is also great for using on the day ensuring you have a beautiful bright white smile. This makes a huge difference, brightening up your entire face and giving your face a more youthful appearance. Having your teeth whitened by bleach or laser can be expensive, the latter being a lot more, but the instant brush on whitener really does the job and at a fraction of the cost.
Hair Care
Ensuring you have a good cut and conditioning treatments on the run up to the day is very important. Especially if you are thinking of wearing your hair down. Another tip is, don't suddenly drastically change the colour of your hair. You should really be looking as natural as possible.
